Varlion Maxima Prisma Radio
Varlion Maxima Prisma W and its sibling Bourne Prisma is perhaps to most high-tech padel rackets out there. Year after year, we are constantly fascinated by the design that Varlion delivers and with the new PRISMA series, design and function have been woven together perfectly. The PRISMA technology is a new type of narrow shaped frame that has been developed in an air tunnel to have the least possible air resistance. The unique shape also means that the risk of the frame cracking is reduced as the contact area is reduced by almost 90%. To be able to do this, Varlion has also developed a completely new frame protector that is specially made for the PRISMA shape and in addition, all this has been done in a really nice design. The shape of the racket is called Maxima and is a new head-heavy shape that has been developed by combining a round shape and a tear drop shape. The result is a racket with many all-round features that offer a high level of both power and control. For the sharp-sighted, a W hides in the name and in this case it means “Winter”. Varlion makes different rackets of the same model that are adapted to different climates and W is recommended for games for up to 25 degrees Celsius, ie perfect for games in colder climates. Furthermore, the surface is made of 100% carbon fiber and with a harder core it will fit perfectly in our cold padel arenas. In addition to this, the Maxima Prisma also has a longer handle than usual to facilitate and enable double-handed backhand shots.
Long awaited and really wonderful racket. Good tempo in overheads and brilliant precision
